Born in Canada to Kiwi parents and promptly raised in New Zealand, not knowing all of her
multi-ethnic background till DNA testing became available to the public, Natania never quite felt settled. Like every Kiwi, post high school, she eventually embarked on a journey to her ancestral lands, except she didn't have the mulla to hop it to Europe. Simultaneously thinking she should make use of her forthcoming language degree, she blindly and naively went to China instead for a month. There she caught the "China bug" and the rest is history.
